This week the GLoaB staff tried two different wines under $15. We happened upon the first wine at Auntie Em’s Kitchen and the other was recommended by a reader.
This week’s pick is 2006 Italo Cescon Pinot Grigio from Friuli, Italy.
The bottle looks like this:

This Pinot Grigio is very clean. You can taste a bit of apple and citrus. There is a hint of nutmeg that sticks with you for a while. It has a very rich yet smooth flavor.
We thought we would have a hard time finding this wine at an affordable price because it is so good, but we found it at thewineclub.com for $11.99.
GLoaB Rating: 4 out of 4 stars
The next wine is a 2006 Concha y Toro Casillero Del Diablo from Carmenere, Chile.
The label looks like this:

This wine has a peppery taste and wasn’t as smooth as we prefer a red wine to be. This wine cost $6.99 at Trader Joe’s and can be found for $9.99 on wine.com. At this price point, it was worth a try, but it didn’t quite hit the mark.
GLoaB Rating: 1.5 out of 4 stars
